Luke Burgess
BPhty, PgDip Musc

I have been working as a physiotherapist for the past 10 years. I have a Bachelor in Physiotherapy and a post-graduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, specialising in manipulations. Here in Sweden I will be focussing my practice on sports injury rehabilitation and sports massage therapy (due to some limitations for physiotherapy registration in Sweden), accompanied by various other techniques mentioned on the services page.

A few notable sports teams I have worked with in the past include; New Zealand National football team, NZ national age-group football teams and Manchester City Academy.

I am currently the team physiotherapist for LUGI handball team in Lund.

Having worked in private physiotherapy clinics and in high performance sporting environments, I have a good depth of knowledge when it comes to the human body and how it functions. Over the past 3 years in New Zealand I owned a practice attached to a Crossfit gym so have a good understanding of the movements involved in gym based training.

I have a special interest in spinal injuries and sport specific injuries. I like to think I am a great listener and can work together with clients to achieve their goals, whether it be sporting success or simply regaining painfree function at the injury site.

When I'm not in the clinic I can be found running the streets of the Malmö or on one of the local golf courses. Working in a crossfit gym has me participating in the classes occasionally too.
